Remembering Editha McCormick

Very little, if anything is ever mentioned of Editha McCormick - in fact she is often overlooked. I suppose the main reason for this is that she only lived until eight months, but that does not diminish how much it affected Edith and Harold. Exceptional care was given, but in 1904 she died:



When it came to Edith's early losses, the bulk of the attention always focused on the loss of her first born son John Rockefeller McCormick, who preceded Editha in death by succumbing to scarlet fever in January of 1901. (Second born Fowler (1898-1973) was stricken with scarlet fever as well, but survived,)
